Split in half by Mosquito Creek Lake, Mecca is a largely rural town with a handful of gems an awesome lake views.
The Lake Tavern, initially built as a home, retains some of the original building’s features and one historic addition: a doorframe that was the entrance to Mecca's town hall. The place invites families to try its Americana menu items, including award-winning burgers and wings.
Mecca Park offers baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court and a "Tree of Life" September 11 memorial.
Boat launches near the intersection of Greenville Road NE and Dennison Ashtabula Road offer easy access to the lake, while Jan's Campground on the west side of the lake features campsites and the only cabins on Mosquito Creek Lake.
Neighborhood bar Hole in the Wall offers a cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating and a selection of beer and cocktails, and the family-friendly Mecca Cones & Coneys is perfect for everyone's sweet tooth.
