Bristol is a region of little gems where anyone is sure to find a bit of wonder.
Get away from it all in Bristolville. This gem shines brightest in the winter thanks to Bristol Park’s Christmas light display that makes the town square’s buildings look like colorful gingerbread houses.
Year-round, history buffs will find memorials that stand in remembrance of Bristol Township’s citizens.
See more of Bristol's scenery from the Western Reserve Greenway bike trail just east of Bristolville. Hop on this former rail line where it crosses Baughman Creek just south of Highway 240. See a piece of history where the path runs over a recently discovered keystone bridge from the mid-19th century made of stone.
The bike trail’s entrance is near another site worthy of a stop. Paradise Lakes Family Campground includes mini golf, games, facilities for events and camp-hosted dinners, theme parties, cook-offs and garage sales. Anyone can find their brand of paradise, along with a similarly minded crowd.
Bristolwood Golf Course is another example of Trumbull County’s great golfing. Not far away is another wonder called Grand River Wildlife Area, a plot of semi-wilderness land stretching over more than 7,000 acres. The Grand River flows right through this spot perfect for hunting, trapping fishing and the observation of wildlife, including beavers.
