Mosquito Lake State Park, one of the largest state parks in Ohio, gives locals and guests access to outdoorsy fun of all kinds. Campers, kayakers, disc golfers, fishermen, beach-lovers and even archers will find this preserved patch welcoming to their passions. You can rent a boat at the marina to experience the park on water.

If you’re around in the summer, be sure to stop by the Trumbull County Fairgrounds for the long-running annual fair, which features all the food, fun and farm-based competitions one can hope for from such a classic event.  

The Penn-Ohio Golf Trail also hits Bazetta with Tamer Win Golf and Country Club. This family-owned club was transformed by its founder from a plot of old farmland into a classic golf course and driving range. While tamed, the back nine remains wooded, keeping consistent with Bazetta’s foliaged aesthetic. Tamer Win hosts tournaments throughout the year, perfect for competitors looking for some new turf.

The Country Porch Winery puts local goods in your glass and on your plate with a variety of wines and seasonal menus. The venue is great for events like a Paint ‘n’ Party.
