The story of the Packard brothers’ business ventures in Canada is full of dramatic twists and turns. William Doud and James Ward Packard were pioneers in North America’s incandescent electric light industry. After founding the Packard Electric Co. in 1890 and the New York & Ohio Co. in 1891, the Packards expanded north into Canada, founding the Packard Lamp Co. in Montreal in 1892.

Pre-registration is required for this lecture which is open to the public and free with paid admission to the museum. Due to current COVID-19 health restrictions, space is limited, and attendees are required to wear face masks and maintain social distancing. The seminar begins promptly at 12:00 PM.
