Karen Knotts, the daughter of 5- time Emmy Award winner Don Knotts has been touring the country for years performing her 90- minute multi -media stage show, titled "Tied up in Knotts" which is a tribute to her dad. She tells stories of Don's career and her personal life about growing up on the set of the "Andy Griffith Show" During the show, she shares fond memories of her special father-daughter bond plus "inside" stories about the cast members who were not like their "Mayberry" TV characters. Karen also narrates the show as Don's favorite aunt Emma and even Aunt Bea. The tribute "Tied up in Knotts" is also the title of her book available on Amazon and it's a "must read" for all of "us kids" from the 50's, 60's and 70's who started laughing at Don when he debuted as the "nervous" guy on Steve Allen's Tonight Show. Or maybe it was Don as Cpl. John C. Brown in the movie "No Time for Sergeants" starring Andy Griffith. It was the chemistry between Don and Andy that lead to Don's 5 Emmy Awards for "Best Supporting Actor" as "Barney Fife" on The Andy Griffith Show. Don appeared in over 22 family films plus for 10 years he played the landlord Ralph Furley on "Three's Company." Karen lives in Los Angeles and when not touring with "Tied up in Knotts" works as a stand -up comedian and actress.
