In honor of President's Day, we have a wonderful presentation for you from historical actor Mike Wilson of Warren, Ohio. Mr. Wilson has portrayed our nation’s 25th President William McKinley for over 30 years. President McKinley was born in 1843 here in Niles, OH. Mr. Wilson will take you back in time as he portrays the issues of the time and comes in period costume as the President to bring McKinley to life. He has performed as our nation's 25th President all over the United States and was a featured performer for the National Travel Writers Association. One of Mr. Wilson’s most requested programs deals with the relationship between McKinley’s election of 1896 and his Presidency with a famous book written in 1900 by L. Frank Baum, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”. He is able to match up the characters of the book with the political and economic issues of the 1890’s. It's a story you've never heard before! Mr. Wilson is also a relative of our nation’s first President George Washington and can bring to the event his family heirloom passed down by generations, which is a Masonic Washington ceremonial sword.
